Video: Nokia Wireless Charger in floating shelf (with Nokia Lumia 920)
The moment Nokia introduced their wireless charging enabled Nokia Lumias (920/820) I was hoping that we’d see people apply the wireless charing in all sorts of neat ways. I’ve got my own ideas but my pile of things to do never seems to get done anymore due to uni schedule (currently trying to learn 250+ medications :p).
Anyway, I just came across this video of someone using the Nokia Wireless Charger plate in a floating shelf.
Note also that it works with a case on. I’m loving that about the wireless charging. I don’t even need to take it out of the pouch/case etc. The charging sound (and charging disconnection sound) will let you know if the Lumia is charging, quite helpful as sometimes I’ve put my 800 on charge only to realise later the plug was never switched on or worse the MicroUSB connection became loose.
Another neat pro with wireless charging is the Sleep Screen like feature Ali talked about yesterday.
BTW speaking of 800 and wireless charging, remember this video from a while back? We already posted about it but it makes sense to mention it here again. Probably not a task you’d try at home.

Is ticking noise normal for the plates? My plate as well as charging unit are making ticking noise. Since they are by my bedside table it is a bit disturbing. Anyone else got this?
Had that too. Sent it together with my broken Lumia back.
I Jack off to videos like this.
A gimmick? No way. I haven’t use the cable at all and got my L920 seven weeks ago.
