Just a little reminder for you guys that Nokia’s soon to be launched new Nokia Lumia (925/Catwalk) will be official in a few hours time today.

London: 10am

Helsinki: noon

Beijing: 5pm

Countdown link

There will be a Q&A event which I unfortunately won’t be able to attend due to uni commitments, but Paul from Nokia Connects mentioned that if you have any questions he might be able to ask them for us.

Other than that, NokConv will have a live webcast. We’ll see if that can be embedded here like last time.

Im excited… Cmon Nokia make me smile!

Nokia hasnt excited me since the release of the 808.

501 was neat, though Im not sure, if the AshaOS can survive in mid-long-term.

Also 510, 620, 720 are interessing from business point of view. EOS and possibly an innovative tablet would be something to be excited on.

The 920 launch was genuinely exciting but subsequently became a letdown due to the softness in its daytime images. Nokia needs to work on its post processing algorithm as Apple and Samsung, or even HTC seem to be doing a better job here.

      • This. Nokia innovation has left the building.

So is it just the catwalk or also some other handset nokia is planning to launch ?

It’s nice to get another Lumia, but it would be great to see some updates for WP too. It’s been a long time since MS introduced something new / ground breaking / innovative. They promised to bring updates more frequently with WP8 and yet they haven’t really kept that promise.
There were more updates and “innovations” in the first weeks / month of WP7 than there are now.
Apps are another problem. Not compleining about the fact that there are “only” 145000, but about the fact that the apps are still very limited.
There are countless tile shortcut apps because of the fact that it still isn’t possible to have real toggle tiles and cause the app possibilities are still very limited
