Promoting uniquely Nokia things again, Nokia’s buddy, it’s Microsoft :). This time it’s the Nokia Lumia 928 using Nokia Smart Shoot. I can’t wait for them to tout Nokia Smart Camera (It’s just so much more intuitive/convenient to use)

Vizileaks is really making a name for him/her-self; posting a third picture of the EOS, this time against the Blackberry (torch I think?) which looks absolutely dwarfed besides it. In this picture it does appear as if the screen is slightly curved (bottom corners?) but perhaps I’m imagining things? Slim, premium, solid, #somethingsthatcometomindwhenholingthenewnokia #nokia #lumia #EOS […]
Although upon launch the Lumia 925 was promised to land on T-mobile’s network in the US, some evidence has appeared proving that it might be slotted for an At&t release as well. Of course At&t are no strangers to Nokia, being the first to embrace their return to the United States, with the 900, then […]
The lump/hump/bump in these early set of photos is a bit like marmite. Some love it, some don’t. I remember really disliking the 808 during launch but it grew on me. Is that the hump in general, preferring flush phones or could the hump be modified? Becoming synonymous for MyDreamNokia, Edgar Mkrtchyan has some ideas to […]
Couple of imaging apps just got another update, ProShot and HDR photocamera. The former I think gets some bug fixes whilst the latter gets batch processing workflow, bugs/stability improvements and manager for application external storage.
When it rains, it pours. Have some more EOS photos. GSM Arena has some more pics from various angles. Looks quite slim in the second pic (just above). http://www.gsmarena.com/exclusive_leaked_photos_show_nokia_eos_from_every_angle-news-6167.php Thanks Slayer for the tip.
Timelapse, a favourite activity of mine since the old Symbian keyboard phone days, and they’re still as fascinating as ever. You might have seen some from the Nokia 808 PureView. Here’s a really good tutorial and set of samples on how to make your own timelapse by Olivier Noirhomme. Using the 38MP mode on the 808 […]
It’s All About the EOS tonight. ViziLeaks has another shot of the Nokia EOS PureView Camera, this time with the lens covered up by the automatic lens cover. No dust or smudging happening here when it’s in your pocket that ruins images even from the likes of the N8/808. I don’t mind having a camera […]
A new contender into the leaking arena “Vizileaks” has just posted an image of a closeup of the Nokia EOS’s camera lens/module. It certainly looks nicer than the previous images we saw, and matches up to them nicely (perhaps a bit too much? Possible Fake?). Either way the image carries the same large round camer […]
Announced last September alongside the wireless charging enabled Lumia 920 and 820 was an agreement with the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf franchise to place qi chargers in the stores. The first of these seem to have landed in a store in San Francisco as seen above, with hopefully multiple other stores to follow. […]
The long awaited (and much delayed) Halfbrick game (the same developers of Fruit Ninja) has finally landed on Windows Phone 8. the app was promised nearly 8 months ago I believe but took forever to land in the store, thankfully it’s here now; for the low low price of FREE! Plus it comes with Xbox […]
For many of you guys out there (yours truly included), Whatsapp is an essential app in our everyday lives; I for one use it much more than the actual messaging hub on my phone. Unforuntaley the Whatsapp on WP is close to garbage, sure they’ve made some interesting updates and worked hard; but it […]
According to the app usage info above, Windows Phone 8.10 is currently running on some devices, and being “tested/used”. Pf course this shouldn’t be surprising as usually these OSes are tested extensively before release; I don’t know if we should read into the fact that the WP version is stable enough to be downloading and […]
It seems we might have the first leak of the long awaited Nokia EOS; the next camera king; the body appears to have the same design of the Lumia 920, except with a huge gaping hole in the back for the camera module (which has a bump!). The phone uses the same polycarbonate material as […]
You’ve heard heaps about Snapchat coming to WP lately, and we’ve covered two very promising apps – ChatSnap and SwapChat. If you don’t like waiting, you can go ahead and download SnapChat (unofficial) which is already available on the Store. Its not the best looking app, and seems buggy to me (only used it a […]
