#ZoomReinvented event today! A few hours to go! #Webcast #livestream #Nokia #41

In a few hours, 11am NYC time we will see and hear the official announcement for the much awaited 41mp Nokia Lumia imaging beast.

We picked up our ID’s yesterday. Check out the blue, purple(?) and yellow badgets. We weren’t allowed to see any names of course, but I did take a snap of the back of them. Reminds me of the anodised N8, no?

Although I had an early night for the first time in these events (leaving the get together last night early), I didn’t get much sleep. Here’s the view from the RLounge last night. It’s so surreal being here. I’ll share pictures from that at another time.

The lack of sleep was compounded by an early wake up call at 5am from Mr Sam Pullen who forgot to set his clock to NY time thinking he’d missed the event! Haha. I’m going to power up on Coffee and boosted by the excitement of seeing this latest 41MP beast in full glory. Oh yeah and some food.

Breakfast arrives to your door here at the Hudson. No pre-event talk in a dinning room as per previous events.

No flash inside the bag. I’m amazed how the 920 and variants sees more than my eyes can actually see. If I looked at the bag with my own eyes, it would be like viewing blackness through the SGSIV. OK, maybe my eyes aren’t that bad.

My gear is pretty much packed ready to get photos and videos of the day’s events. I think I have over packed on ridiculously cumbersome camera gear, which would probably be solved by having my own Nokia Lumia 1020 to use at these events :p.

I cannot be sure about the internet connection here or the event venue as to whether it would hold up to getting videos uploaded. I don’t have to leave abruptly this time unlike the 925 event in London so I’ll be taking my time to get as much content as I can.

As always, I’m intrigued by the reaction around the web for this much leaked handset.

If I had my coffee at the time I read these set of comments, I would have spat it on my screen in laughter. Oh klitovsky!
