A New Camera King? Microsoft to Work on a Lumia 1020 Successor

Although the Lumia 1020 hasn’t been on the market long, it seems Microsoft are already working on brining its incredible imaging powers to another device. Jo Harlow was asked if we’ll continue to see camera centered devices such as the Lumia 1020 in the future (since the Microsoft Acquisition), and her response was “absolutely”.

“Absolutely – we’re not end of the mission in camera technology, or in computational photography.

“We continue to invest in that area to bring the next greatest thing in high end imaging.”

Although there isn’t any solid information on what this next camera monster will bring, or indeed when it’ll be available, it’s nice to know Microsoft recognizes the imaging fanatics of Nokia and won’t leave them out in the cold.
