Jolla Chairman, Antti Saarnio, says India big enough to build its own mobile ecosystem and services

Jolla’s Chairman, Antti Sarrnio tweeted that India is big enough to build its own mobile ecosystem and services. Jolla along with Sailfish can help there.

If India wanted to, they could go it alone with either a forked Android or do away completely with something else.

Even without the dominant Android to worry about, Jolla will have plenty of competition for the low end space as FireFox’s simple and cheap smartphone makes a great alternative for first time buyers. Not to mention Tizen and whatever Amazon will do.
