We’ve heard some rumours that Microsoft would be streamlining branding, first by dropping Nokia and keeping it just ‘Lumia’ and secondly, having just ‘Windows’ including cutting out the ‘Phone’ in Windows Phone.

Ali’s obtained some documents which has gone full circle, passing by the likes of GSMArena and TheVerge. Since Tom specifically posted it, it’s highly likely to be real.

Not only is the manufacturer name going to be dropped (MS has already stopped calling the Nokia Lumia 830 Nokia in their hands on video ) Microsoft is preparing to leave the WindowsPhone name behind in preference of just having ‘Windows’.
