PhoneDog take the last few Nokia branded Lumia (flagships) and compares the differences between the Nokia Lumia 930 (the 1520 phablet flagship condensed) and it’s very similar sibling, the Nokia Lumia 830 (the affordable flagship).

  • Screen wise, the 830 is said to look just as sharp. But AMOLED vs LCD, colours are more vibrant on the 930 though sometimes over saturated. The LCD whites on the 830 in particular are said to be a lot cooler (I felt the opposite but it can be changed in settings).
  • Camera of the 930 properly outshines the 830 in camera. But the 830 camera is also fantastic.
  • 830 is slimmer and feels more comfortable than the 930.
  • Under the hood, the 930 has more horsepower. However the 830 doesn’t feel that much slower (they said they haven’t noticed at all)
  • 830 however has a removable back cover and expandable memory.
  • More battery life in 830.
  • Both have wireless charging built in.
  • Price wise, the 830 is cheaper.
