Nokia Lumia 930 OIS has the edge over Samsung Galaxy S6e

Screen Shot 2015-03-10 at 04.58.58The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a very interesting phone in terms of design. Following the Note 4 edge, this one has a double left and right curved screen. I actually quite like it – one of the nicer Samsung designs of late.

Mr Sam J Pullen has a quick demo that seems to give the Nokia Lumia 930 the edge.

Giving the S6 the benefit of the doubt, perhaps the result on watching the display or on a different screen is better. Moreover, things might be different in other scenarios such as walking or panning left to right on a point. The Lumia series have always been really good with panning on a spot.

Any software stabilisation available to the S6 directly?

Mentioned in the comments – do both need to hit record? What about settings – some say the Samsung only activates OIS in certain conditions. I found that OIS wise, I’ve had better stabilisation results from my Lumias.
