Nokia World 2011 in London October 26-27! #NokiaWorld

With one major Nokia event over, a new one has been set. We’ve known for a while that Nokia World 2011 was in London and in October, but not really the precise dates.

So pencil this in your diary, Wednesday October 26 and Thursday October 27 (possibly October 25 to arrive and October 28 to leave). This will most likely be the launch date of Nokia’s Windows Phone. This is the one they’re getting ready in time for 2011, with mass shipping, a family of devices and higher end devices coming in 2012.

Now the fight is renewed in Nokia again (with much more clout this time), with the launch of N9 to show new technologies and Windows Phone handsets to regain smartphone mindshare and marketshare. We’re still also yet to hear about a Symbian flagship – there’s one every year unless the X7 was it :S

The venue is the same place it was last year – at ICC London ExCel – a fantastic venue folks. Being in London, I hope I’ll be able to make it (though it’s smack bang in Uni time – taking out 4 days). Whilst it’s a great opportunity to see the devices, meeting the Nokia Bloggers, Product Managers, WOMWorld crew and folks in that industry is just that extra special thing you can only get at such events 😀
