Qualcomm says no, that isn’t a Nokia (8)

You may have read about the little drama that unfolded last week as the claimed second batch of ‘Nokia 8 leaks from a friend Russia’  turned out to be hands on photos from a German tech blog of Qualcomm’s reference devices. Certain videos and pictures got deleted and there was an angry response video from total tech accepting that perhaps he should have checked the source as well as telling off Android authority oddly enough advising them to fact check their info on him. Anyway, tuning down that episode of reality TV, Qualcomm replied to an email as seen above and they also deny the pictured device being a Nokia one,  saying it’s their OWN device. Some have held on to the possibility it might have been manufactured by FIH/Foxconn and thus could be in some form a Nokia later.

This should provide comfort for those freaked out by the size/design (which for a chip reference device isn’t their priority).

Even if this has nothing to do with Nokia, ANY device that would sport a SD835 should at least have the features demoed by the reference handset.

Cheers Martin for the tip!
