Don’t mix up your favourite ladies/personal assistants. They might not be so friendly when you call out the wrong name :p. Over on reddit, the top story at number 1 mentions Cortana in a Siri window. She gets jealous when called Cortana. Well at least for this r/funny screenshot. http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/31mvwn/jealous_siri/
There’s been much news to Windows 10 being installable on Android devices. Here is Windows 10 flashed on an Android device. I would love this. Android – Cortana, smoothness, better battery on my Note 4 is more than welcome. If only there was stylus support to a similar extent.
I actually would appreciate one of these for my cats. Wearable tech for cats: http://360.here.com/2015/04/01/unveils-first-wearable-tech/ The premise was to leverage the love of the internet for cats. A bit like some documentaries that follow cats, you can see the double life that your kitty lives. I tried to use the treasure tag mini for such […]
No matter what platform Nokia was trying to push, they always had their developer pages. Today was the final day that developer.nokia.com would stay up. http://developer.nokia.com/ You are now recommended to go to the Microsoft or Windows dev center. If you want to make apps for Asha, Nokia X, or even Series 40 and Series […]
Here’s a quick how to on Installing Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nokia X/XL users. It seems quite straight forward. Whilst it’s on a video it’s all in text format. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdtnRaAvHsc
For detailed video tech reviews, you’ve probably seen an Erika Griffin video. Here she is on the Nokia N1. She says she really liked it when she tried one at MWC, but how about her own N1? Erika says the N1 is a tablet she’d really like to carry. Performance wise, it’s pleasing, especially considering […]
In a post that seemed to be complaining about the amount of space the S6 is eating (especially since there is no memory card slot) the users all posted the amount of free space they get. http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/30kv6x/a_32gb_samsung_galaxy_s6_has_23gb_user_available/ The Nokia Lumia 930/1020 has 29.1GB. The likes of the HTC One M9 has 21GB. This is unrelated […]
Remember when HTC dissed Nokia’s direction for more pixels and said theirs was the better route, i.e. 4MP “ultrapixels”. Since then, their ultrapixels have been the main thing lacking in all the reviews, so much so that their M9 suprisingly goes back the opposite direction with 20mp. Either way, more pixels at least for HTC […]
Just trying to catch up on some posts folks. Sorry about the disappearance. Currently several thousand feet in the sky on my way to Dubai then Manchester. This is a promo of Skype for Business. In Microsoft’s vision of the future, Skype is everywhere. Can skype remain a big player amongst the growing number of […]
I guess this is something I hadn’t encountered before since I had always been using phones with a minimum of 16gb storage. My aunt is now using the Lumia 530 which I set up for her some weeks ago. But she’s unable to complete the requested update because there isn’t enough space on the phone. […]
Thomas tweeted that videos should play way better on VLC for WindowsPhone in their recent update. They’re aware that the UI is not yet final.
Couple of updates for OneDrive and Z-launcher on my Note 4. It was also requesting for an update for HERE maps but it doesn’t download anything upon clicking. OneDrive supposedly has some visual changes. Next Lockscreen also seems to have a minor update.
It has been quite a while since I last published any of my ramblings here, but as time goes by you see certain things that spark an interest to share some of my thoughts with you. So, what will I be serving you today? It would be something like, Microsoft is going down the right […]
There was originally a joke about a Nokia 1100 with Android Lollipop. Recently there were rumours that such a thing might actually exist. Here’s a visualisation of what that device might be like, capitalising on the Nokia brand on phones.
Mattias Burling shows us how to take advantage of the exposure control and do some light painting on your Lumia. You get 4 seconds to play with (hopefully a bit more in future Lumias for more options) Yves Das is recommended for taking this to the next level. Check out the LED stick which can […]
