Ovi Store publishing confirms previous leaks #E6-00
Ovi store publishing, usually used by developers for publishing their work, allows them to select the target devices .
While doing so, LogonAniket from twitter found this :
This happened to show up during phone selection. It clearly confirms the existence of the previously leaked Nokia E6-00 with a VGA resolution( 640×480 ).
Also there are a lot of unpublished Protos too, but how they are classified is beyond me, because the phone 2220 slide exists, also RM 572 is the 3208 classic , rest are unknown, i guess ( verified through Navifirm ).
These Ovi leaks always suggest a near future launch, and i hope Nokia launches the E6-00 and the X7-00 during MWC 2011. Any thoughts on the E6-00 like, how its gonna be ?
My guess is touch and type kind of phone with an E 72 form factor(sans navigation keys of course) and all the usual hardware (3 inch transflective display, 8 megapixel camera with EdoF, same innards as the Nokia N8,E7,C7,C6-01 with probably better battery BL-4D ?) with Symbian^3 , what’s your guess ?

btw RM-680 is the N9
May I ask how do you know? Also do you know what others represent?
RM-680 is from Engadget.
Guy working for Nokia(i guess) over Engadget did run the serial number shown on the leaked N9 pictures and got that product number.

Though RM-680 has appeared quite of a many times already, example in Qt and MeeGo bug fillings and reports in past 5-7 months.
IF this is a first time it appears in OVI this could be good sign that N9 might be finally be announced in MWC.

Yes, the RM 680 is most likely the N9. Remember when it was leaked before? It revealed the prototype code which said RM 680.
Although I wouldn’t completely believe that since Alex68 said that it was an old design. Not sure if the prototype code was changed with it too or not
Wooow if RM680 is the N9, I wonder what the RM999 will be! Something 310 times better?

There was example RX-71 in a same code and bug fillings next to the RX-51(N900) about 7 months before N900 announcement.
RX-71 actually appeared again in bug filling some months ago with many other devices(also RM-680)
There’s lots of internal devices that they might use for testing, different protos that never see the day and so on. But you are right, thinking that this is not a bug filling but it has found it’s way to OVI.
Still somehow doubt there’s actual RM-999 device out there.

I can confirm E6 is the portrait phone I mentioned before. It is a touch-and-type phone with an E7X form factor.
I doubt that since it would make zero sense to make a smaller screen phone a higher resolution. Their E5 is 320×240 as well as their C3-01 and X3-02 (touch and type), granted they are lower-end phones. If anything, a slider or E7/N97-like form factor.
Although it could be like the Dell Venue Pro – a portrait slider.
For the unleaked prototypes, one Chinese TD-SCMDA symbian 3 phone is not leaked yet. Nokia are working on many new products, such as a 3D phone, a new camera flagship phone, a tablet.
Hardware prototypes may be cancelled and redesigned a few times but the code will remain.
Please can you tell us if all these products you mentioned, will be presented this year?

Yes, it is the true zoom + something ultra as well. Late this year or early next year is the release plan.
What is the size of the screen? Will it have Gorilla glass?

The form factor is not exactly like E5 or E72. I am not sure of the screen size, but I suppose a bigger one.

Nokia announced they would use Gorilla Glass on all their glass touchscreen phones (so not the touch and type devices)

Do you know why Nokia uses gorilla for touchscreens because they are so fragile. Type and touch phones apply to touchscreen phones.
