Sorry I didn’t get around to posting Janimatik’s tip yesterday – thanks to Keith for the reminder. The Nokia E6 aka Nokia RM609 has receive FCC approval. The ID label is available above, with somewhat of an odd looking plain rectangular body (normally showing the outline of the handset, is this to hide the shape?)

This is the touch and type Symbian^3 handset featuring possibly a VGA screen based on early leaked specifications. Those specifications also said it would have just 2 softkeys, whereas the above handset has the usual Eseries candybar buttons, complete with Dpad.

UnwiredView says:

According to the documents found at the FCC, the E6 features tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1700 / 1900 MHz), thus it’s compatible with the networks of AT&T and T-Mobile USA.

When? Perhaps a launch at “International CTIA Wireless 2011” for more Symbian handsets coming state side?
