Today we reported that Angry Birds Rio was Free at the Ovi Store and that possibly Fruit Ninja and Worms HD were free too. For some reason, even more premium titles are appearing FREE for your (legal :p) downloading joy. These are all awesome games, and worth their price (when they weren’t free) but now even more brilliant now that they’re free. Use the Ovi Store app on your phone to search and find the following apps.

  • Avatar
  • Spider-Man Total Mayhem HD
  • H.A.W.X HD
  • Worms HD
  • Fruit Ninja
  • GT Racing: Motor Academy HD
  • Settlers HD
  • Hero of Sparta
  • Assassins Creed
  • Guitar Rock Tour HD
  • Angry Birds Rio
  • Angry Birds Seasons

There may be more.

Update: And there are! Cheers folks for the update!

  • Sims 3 HD
  • Monopoly Classic HD
  • Pac-man Championship
  • Farm Frenzy
  • Tetris HD

These all appear in addition to the paid version. The icon in Ovi Store has a little yellow gift ribbon on it. I’m not sure what this promotion is, is it some  good gesture thing? Timed, unlabelled free trial thing? Ovi Store Hack? What are we celebrating?  These all play fine btw. It’s also not the first time Nokia’s given us free premium games. Galaxy on Fire, Rollercoaster, NFS Shift and Real Golf 2011.

What did you download for free? Any other yellow ribbon apps we’ve missed? I already had half of these (paid) and don’t feel bad at all that they’re free now (as I expect some might be after having paid for them) as they were and still are worth the money. Although  unrelated, it’s nice that after TreeMaker Ovi Store install fail and no refund, I get all these for free. 😀

Cheers to The, der vogelmann, and Lasse Bodilsen or the update on the additional free apps!

(Mine won’t download over WiFi for some reason. Good thing Ovi Store has no silly 20mb limit imposed like, er Windows Phone.)
