Yahoo! employees who get the innovative Nokia Lumia 920 will also get a free wireless charging plate from Nokia.
Remember the post this morning where we learnt that the Nokia Lumia 920 would be one of the handsets offered to Yahoo! employees as part of their ‘get a smartphone’ scheme (not actually the name).
Well for those choosing the more innovative Nokia Lumia 920, Doug Dawson emailed and tweets that Nokia will throw in a free wireless charging plate too. Like my HP Touchpad, that touchstone was an optional accessory but really something very useful (and should be part of every owners pack). You can always charge up by the universal standard that is the microUSB, but the charging plate is an added mega convenience (which is making its way to coffee shops, airports and further).

Yeah, this story’s a bit of a missed opportunity to have another photo of Marissa’s legs on the front page.
Not to say that this is why, but she is of Finnish origins. Maybe that is also the reason she chose Nokia to be one of the smartphones of choice?

Nokia should offer these for the first X amount of buyers everywhere.

So confirmation that wireless chargers won’t come in the box? To be expected I suppose. Anyone got a clue as to how much they would cost? Hopefully they’re not too expensive.
Charging pad should be a pack in, random color. So then 920 owners can trade and mingle with one another! Purity Headphones should also be a pack in, match color. Pre order bonis shpuld be the Fatboy or the vertical dock.
The charging plate should come as standard with nokia lumia 920 or they should give £100 free nokia vouchers.so ppl could buy what they want from the nokia store. E.G Monster head phones,phone case,jbl hi fi or charging plate.
Yeah, exactly, or maybe Nokia should give the phones out for free, and then give a voucher on top of that? Just like Apple is doing business with it’s accessories? /s
If you wish to see Nokia around in the future, you can’t assume that they give everything away for free.

I just realized, that Nokia might repeat the anna>belle thing they did before they launched the lumia 800.
The picture quality on the N8 degraded quite a bit when they rolled out Belle, and I still think it was to make the lumia look better in reviews where compared against the N8.
Watch them degrade the image quality on the 808 with Feature Pack 2 before the 920 comes out, that way the difference won’t be as big, as it really is.
Hopefully they didn’t run out of tinfoil at your local supermarket, you’re gonna need a boatload of it to make hats or wrap your house in.

oooooo now this is fun , i distinctly remember symbian fans claiming the belle image degradation as bullshit when i stated this as a reason why symbian is so broken and everything they do they have to start from scratch.
SO. will those fans come out and defend that statement or let dss step all over their bodies just because dss new and improved conspiracy theory targets the new lumia 920?
