Video: Cyan Nokia Lumia 920 hands on.

| October 6, 2012 | 20 Replies

This is a video hands on of the cyan Nokia Lumia 920. As well as being a lot of fan’s favourite colour, check out the portion where they demo PureView shaking. We’ve seen this before – the bit where they shake the camera, press shutter to activate PureView and the viewfinder is smooth.

A complaint a few of you have had was to show the clip filmed during the exaggerated shaking. I’m not sure if it was the cuts but Mark seemed impressed. We are told apparently that the clip played back here was during the shaking (and not during slow panning).

When will you ever make a comment that’s not antagonistic, constructive or adds anything to the conversation?

Because your comments are…wait for it ‘nothing new!’

Seriously, Orlando, you just look like some bitter child.

      • Deep Space Bar says:

I’d rather be a bitter child than a clueless clown ….with obviousness thrown at them…atleast i’m well knowledge in what is really going instead of believing the Quick BS

With all due respect, I understand where deep space bar is coming from. I might not agree with the language or name calling, but I can see the disappointment.
I also think the Ms decision was a bad 1, but I’ll also state that elope has done some good i.e. faster releases of OS updates, Anna, Belle.
The old stratagem have Nokia’s customers a sense of control, of involvement, of an evolving relationship and that Nokia was taking us on a exciting journey of change for a better, open mobile experience.
I think even the most ardent lumia apologist who has been a long time Nokia fan will agree that wp strategy leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Because it was forced unnecessarily down our throats. Nokia basically said if we want a Nokia smartphone, get a lumia. That’s it. Now if we weren’t exposed to Belle fp1, Maemo, MeeGo… Maybe we would go for wp. But knowing what we know. Having experienced the best Nokia has to offer in house and then have to downgrade to wp… That feels like a slap in the face. I think that’s why so many bitter comments.
My two cents worth. Sorry bout the rant.

        • Deep Space Bar says:

it’s the true….and nothing but it ….most look over that thinking it’s okay…but it’s not ….nokia was never and has never forced anything down their users throats till elop and microsoft got hold of nokia..they have disconnected themselves from the REAL users that MAKE THEM money…now they are buying users just like what microsoft does and has been doing moreless

        • lmiked says:

Hey, I agree with tired… But posting negative comments or insulting other people in a blog about what has already been decided and done by Nokia, isn’t gonna change the present.
So, let’s be concise and constructive about what is actually happening right now! That’s just a suggestion by the way.
To speak honestly, I don’t like WP, I would much rather have a second MeeGo phone with all the new features and Nokia apps that the Lumia 920 brings, like PureView 2, PureMotion HD+ etc… Also, it’s sad that they decide to drop all home OSes in favour of WP, but worst than that, is the BS stories that they told, like WP being the best, and probably only choice to “Save” Nokia, we all know that is BS. HEY! But guess what, Elop couldn’t have done that on his own, not without the support from most of the BOD (board of directors), so it’s their asses on the line if things don’t work out with WP, they all chose to go with WP and MS because they felt it was a good partnership, and easier on them.
And now, last but not least, let’s get real, even though I’m not a fan of WP, if I do buy a new phone in the upcoming months, which I am, I’m going to buy a L920 (RED BTW which is gorgeous), cause let’s face it, it’s the best smartphone out there IMO, I don’t really like iPhone (never have), I mean it’s a good Smartphone, but it just doesn’t do it for me, and no App is going to replace OIS (some people might think that someone just miswrote iOS :p), or pureview, or puremotion hd+, or Nokia Music, or Nokia Maps, Drive, City lens not to mention Nokia’s sweet design and quality built, that being said, I though about maybe SG3, but come on, Shitty (forgive the swears) camera, shitty built quality, not really anything that catches my eye except for the BIG screen ( but not the brightes or most sensitive or best in anyway), it’s still a good smartphone, not for me though, and HTC, well, never even really considered it an option, never had any (not saying their bad), just don’t know em, and not willing to invest in a smartphone at this stage without some background experience with them 1st, algo haven’t really seen something completly innovating or eye catching from them. Plus if I don’t like WP, I still have my N8 and N9, and can use L920 mostly for the OIS and Low light pics, but I think I’ll like WP8, it looks cool, and the WP7.5 I tried, were really fluid so…

Cheers!!! Cheer up and don’t waste your energy with negative stuff ;) !!!
