Quick heads up on the livestream (kudos incognito). It’s been going for a bit but there might still be some stuff to watch.

Jessica Alba is on stage. No wonder she’s been rocking the super Nokia Lumia 920 (and 900)

Ha, and we thought Jess just happened to have a Windows Phone but she’s integral to the WP8 launch.

Jess loves the Nokia PureView camera

am watching the event she look amazing. even the way she explain

To move my post to the right place:

Will we see some actual features or we’ll watch kids and Jessica Alba for the rest of the event? They’re touting the Kid’s corner as the second coming of Jesus… Yeah, that will sell WP and knock-off iOS and Android from the throne…

Speaking of Jessica, she loves the camera but Nokia wasn’t mentioned once, and Joe (naturally) insists on ‘Windows Phone’ as if all WPs have huge screens or innovative cameras…

Docs sharing through the cloud is nothing new, Google has been doing it with Docs for years.

Photo sharing to various services, including cloud storage, Nokia has been doing it for years. And many others.

      • Keith too says:

Predictably, you watched with the intent of being a whiny little naysayer. Has Cod3rror confiscated your username or is this what you are reduced to these days? Why did you even watch this–they could have announced anything you would only look for things to whine about. You’re never going to get a Windows Phone so you only came here to spit out a half a dozen whiny messages. What kind of a loser are you? What motivates one to do that?

Thouh I do take it as a good sign you felt the need to blast out 6 neagive messages as soon a possible. Obviously you feel threatened by WP8.

As for your comment, of those things were done already but as Joe pointed out how they are being done better on WP8.

Ad hominem done by the book *slow clap*

          • Dave says:

No sweety, he’s calling a spade a spade. Incognito is worried about his freedomz that Microsoft is trying to steal from him, well known to anyone who visits this site.

            • Paul says:

Right, & rather than properly argue for/against incognito’s points of criticism he merely resorts to personal attack.
              That’s insecurity right there, & ad hominem…
Oh and don’t call me sweety please, keep the name calling out of it.

      That’s it?! :o

      Talk about lackluster presentation.

Let’s hope Ballmer will at least make some funny monkey business on the stage.

  3. Hermes says:

Now we know that Ballmer’s Windows Phone of choice is HTC.

  4. bharat says:

WoW!! Nokia has OIS and Puremotion HD and wireless charging while Samsung is thin and light weight! BuRN!!

  5. dss says:

They are calling the HTC 8X: Windows Phone 8X … yup.

  6. dss says:

Bravo MS.. pretty good presentation. Jessica is awesome.. nice touch.

  7. Cod3rror says:

    Horrible presentation.

    Alba? They are desperate…

No wonder, WP8 sucks! People, people, people, kids, … get lost!

    • User says:

She was there to talk about the kid’s corner & I think she was the perfect celebrity to present it.
You are just a crybaby, whining about everything.

  8. viktor von d says:

ha ha, nokia did get mentioned a lot and got praise for it’s features, but they equally used htc in the presentation.samsung only got mentioned at the end, how embarassing.

and where the hell is the notification center, background colors, more details on how multitasking works? too much jerking off in these presentations. guess it’s down to the bloggers and tech sites to discover everything. and why the hell did they say no one is allowed to handle the os earlier? nothing in here was groundbreaking. stuff like live lockscreen and kids corner were cool, but that’s it? they didn’t even shoed how skype works.

A LOT OF STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE IN THIS PRESENTATION
and bravo for the 49 price tag for the 810 and 822. those are killer prices for the hardware – s4 dual core 1.5 ghz,1 gb ram,8-16 gb storage + sd card, supersensitive screen, clear black,8mp camera, different color covers. right now these devices beat everything android has to offer at that price point.

    • Patata says:

but you know that style over substance was and is the main idea behind wp? that’s why Jessica Alba was there too. Might look pretty (to some) but is pretty much useless ;)

      • Viipottaja says:

I can think of plenty of uses for Jessica… as I can for my L900. ;)

On a serious note, J. Alba is quite accomplished, and probably much more so than most of us here.

  9. Rinslowe says:

Check out his naughty litte lenny the leprechaun hands in the main pic. On his face, genuine happiness. On his hands, OH the possibilities…

    LOl

    Lucky bstrd.
