Weekend Watch: Preview of WP7.8 on Nokia Lumia 900

| December 2, 2012 | 11 Replies

This video takes a look at a preview WP7.8 on the Nokia Lumia 900.

Although the change seems minor, the new tile set up completely changes the usability on Windows Phone for the better (imo).

There’s nothing really much else to the video although WP7.8 will bring some other small changes.

hello..i would like to ask something..?
does 7.8 has the make font bigger feature like 8 windows has..?or im mistaken..? thanks..!

Its showing the same old Marketplace….no Stores as seen in WP8…

    • Patata

Wp7.8 won’t get the rebranding. Marketplace remains as marketplace, just as Zune remains Zune.
Wp7.8 simply isn’t part of MS’ wp/w8/xbox ecosystem and with details like this they want to make sure that no customer makes the mistake that wp7 could be part of it ;)

        ???

small correction of my previous post:
*no customer makes the mistake /to think/ that wp7 could be part of it

And regarding wp7.8, it was never meant to be more than a placeholder until wp8 is ready. MS has no plans to integrate it in their “Windows ecosystem”, that is why wp7.8 won’t get the WP Store, Xbox Music and other changes that came with wp8 ;)

I’m not sure I agree with the use of the full screen. But I do look forward to the resizeable tiles.
