Video: How it’s made – Nokia Wireless Charging Espresso bar – Nokia Russia
From Nokia Russia is an interesting video showing how quickly a coffee bar gets transformed to be QI wireless charging (Nokia Lumia 920/820 etc) friendly.
Like the video we saw yesterday, this just blends into the furniture. No plugging in, just resting your phone. In this instance, instead of being on the table, there’s a little stand (with the sugar/sweeteners) that lights up.
Whilst you charge up on caffeine, your Lumia charges up too.

This is exactly what we need everywhere to fully enjoy our great phones. I think qi is going to grow very rapidly and all manufacturers will push it, even rotten aapl will have to follow…
So, what you are saying is that it’s not possible to implement a better wireless charging in the future?
Standards are nice but it’s just plain stupid to follow every standard even if there was a better alternative.
Like Lightning connector, LMFAO.
Yes.
In South Africa, at News Cafe, there are both Wireless Charging Stations and Wired Charging Booths with micro USB cables sponsored/branded by Nokia Lumia where you can juice up youre phones.
I am sooo sorry for iPhone owners! Certainly they will bring up some arguments why Apple should not follow any standards.
That’s very true from your point of view.
I’m so glad about the wireless charging option I have with the 808 I own. It’s so much better than in the iPhone 4S.
Now wait…..?
