I had a dream this was announced by Nokia. :/ twisty pureview

Remember the post from Ali detailing specs of the Nokia EOS?

http://mynokiablog.com/2013/04/15/nokias-next-camera-flagship-the-details/

  • Dual/Quad Core
  • 41Mp, OIS, LED, Xenon
  • +/- Variable Aperture
  • FM Transmitter,
  • Amoled 1280 x 768 screen
  • 2000 Mah battery
  • detailed camera interface
  • initial launch on At&t

There’s some more information over at WMPU (via GSMA).

  • Very tapered edges to make device feel/look slimmer
  • As thick as 920 in the middle
  • Xenon Flash, smaller than 808
  • XX megapixels (not mentioned on proto)
  • Nokia Pro Camera app
  • Automatic lens cover that opens with camera
  • Red LED for autofocus (like N82)
  • Same screen size and resolution as 920
  • Wireless charging perhaps via cover

BTW, remember this rumour from Flavio. The Catwalk was pretty much as expected.

Whilst the EOS wasn’t there on launch with Catwalk, it adds further strength to it having a 41mp sensor.

Will the EOS have stereo audio rich recording? Shame about lack of white LED for video/flashlight.

Another past reminder – the EOS is supposed to be better than the 808.

Cheers Alvester for the tip!
